I really love Tricia’s use of light and how her subjects in the foreground look outlined and kind of pop 3D-like out of the painting. I love those aspects of her style. It’s realism, yes, and a highly refined realism, yet soft at the edges and yet still the images are sharp… it’s like Thomas Hart Benton or Marsden Hartley, but with Mary Cassatt tenderness. –Natalia Schroeder, artist
